Here are the 2008-2009 board of directors
President: Kell Komatsubara
Message from Kell...
You know, it's amazing how the year goes by in a flash. 2008 is upon us and we have a lot of fun projects this year, and we all hope you will be a part of it. We will continue to do our usual events, like the Japanese Cultural Center's new years festival, The All Hawaii Collectors Show, Kawaii Kon, and Halloween in Waikiki. However, we will be doing more events in the community. Also, we have embarked on some filming projects, and of course, our long awaited trip to Japan! Keep up with us folks! We don't plan to stop until we've all had our fill of anime and manga fun!
Vice President: Zachary Tom

Pleased to meet you everyone, Thank You for your support. I first got interested in Anime from Astro Boy to Gigantor and then Princess Knight. Since those days Anime has gone a long way, it is fun watching all the improvements that the studios have introduced into their film making art. These improvements have influenced other countries studios and the quality of Animation has improved across the board. Can't wait to see what the future will bring.
Secretary/Treasurer: Pam Verrey
Message from Pam...
Hey, I finally got around to updating my message! I started life with Astro Boy and Daffy Duck, eventually wandering into the realities of Superman and Asterix. Then a chance meeting with Totoro and several weeks' stay at Maison Ikkoku led me out of the DC Universe and into "Akiba." I had a great time at Kawaii-kon, this year, marveling at such a cool hobby that would turn legions of slackers like myself into avid Japanese linguists and skilled costume designers. I love manga, anime music, karaoke and subtitling. I'm also saving my pennies to go to Japan again next year with everyone.
Programming directors: Mari Okazaki and Saikano Otonashi
Message from Otonashi san...
Contrary to popular belief, I'm not part Portugese but part Filipino. Next, how on earth did I get to be co-programming director w/ She Who Knows All, Mari? Wow. All I do is lose a little sleep over some funny, scary, sweet, & kickass anime (& some of those all in one!). Just gotta say, thank goodness for those who share & subtitle, cuz I'd be lost otherwise!
Message from Mari...
Uh, gee, I wasn't expecting Kell to make me write something for myself.
More like, Kell pulled me away from watching Kenichi to write this, wtf?
Meh, I don't feel like writing much now. I'll think up something later >_>
For now, I'll just leave off with "Hey", "Nice ta meetcha", and "Come visit us at our meetings, we LOVE new faces!"
Cause y'know, I'd be refreshing for me to actually see people my age every now and then...
