Uchuu Senkan Yamato

In the year 2199, Lord Dessler and the Gamilon Empire begin their conquest of space. By 2200 Earth is being bombarded by radioactive meteor bombs forcing mankind underground. However, now the radiation is seeping deeper and all of mankind is now in jeopardy of becoming extinct. Many light years away, Queen Stasha has sent her sister to give Earth a message of hope. However, her ship is attacked (this is implies, and we never do get to see the attack of her ship) and while escaping the main ship in a pod, dies holding a message capsule(Some believe, she dies from the lack of oxygen on Mars, just like how humans would). In the message, she tells Earth that her planet, Iscandar has a radiation cleansing machine, but they have to come and get it themselves. Also, she gives Earth the plans for an engine to get them to Iscandar and back in time. However, this is also a test for the human race to see if they have the determination to survive. Uchuu Senkan Yamato is the creation of Leiji Matsumoto, and has three TV series, and a host of many movies. Personally, my favorite is the second movie, "Uchuu Senkan Yamato: Soldiers in the name of Love, AKA Arriverderchi". This show is by far, one of the many classics of anime, and is what many shows are judged by, even today. If you have never seen the movies, or the TV series, this is a must watch show!

Today, I, The Mad Regent, star of this show(editors note: No, he was not THE star, just a main character) will take you on a brief tour of the show. Three thousand years have passed, and the world of the Humans, Demons, and Man-Beasts are joined once more by the rebirth of the Overfiend who will balance the three worlds. However, with the coming of the Overfiend, the world will see chaos and destruction like never before seen. This series, long a cult classic for it's tentacle porn scenes will be remembered always as the origin of the genre of "tentacle porn" anime...
